FACE School Foundation
For over 30 years, the FACE School Foundation has been at the heart of the School’s Fine Arts programs, supporting large-scale initiatives such as the Frédéric-Back Forêt enchantée space developed in an unused outdoor area beside the school and smaller projects such as the student café development project. In addition to new and ongoing projects, the Foundation maintains several scholarship programs that sustain the visibility of FACE School’s mission and support a dynamic, ongoing learning in the arts.
2020-2021 has been deeply marked by the Covid-19 pandemic, inevitably leading to a decrease in the Foundation’s activities and revenues. Remaining more relevant than ever to support students during this exceptional year, the Foundation has maintained its support to the school, despite these challenges, through various projects such as: the installation of a stage in the front hall allowing for singing practice to continue while respecting social distancing measures; the acquisition of new technical equipment ensuring better quality video recording, the Caesura project for grades 10 and 11 exploring links between music and writing, or the acquisition of a programmable robot introducing robotics to preschool children. To end the year, the Foundation is supporting the upcoming creation of a digital platform that will showcase and display student artistic projects and performances in videos and photo format.
This year, we look forward to meeting you in person again. We are happy to announce that our popular organic vegetable baskets sale, will back in September. You won’t want to miss it!
The board of directors of the FACE School Foundation is made up of a dynamic synergy of motivated parents, committed teachers and engaged administrators, all of whom serve on a voluntary basis.
