For the past 50 years, FACE School’s music program has provided generations of students, from Kindergarten to Grade 11, with solid musical foundations and practical training on wind and string instruments and voice. Although FACE’s music program does not aim to train professional musicians, it develops students’ talents for life and provides a well-rounded musical education that prepares them to become more creative and versatile adults in an increasingly complex society.

From Kindergarten to Grade 3, students’ schedules integrate Orff instruments, recorder, and choral singing.

In Grade 4, students learn an orchestral instrument (winds, strings, or percussion). With very few exceptions, students continue on the same instrument until Grade 11, and the instruments are supplied by the school.

The school’s music program has a track record of spectacular vocal productions and concerts, award-winning instrumental ensembles (bands and orchestras at every level), international tours, and community collaborations with its Symphony Orchestra:

Art, Theatre, Music. FACE offers a unique fine arts program that focuses on four subjects: instrumental and vocal music, visual arts and drama. All four fine arts courses are mandatory at all levels from grade 1 through high school.
